Kids on f.o.o.t is probably the cheapest Holiday Programme in the Lower Hutt. We try very hard to make our programme accessible by all famlies and even discount families who don't qulify for WINZ subsidies. We believe very strongly in our programme and community focus - we want to expose as many children to what we believe can transform our community.
* A deposit of $50 per child is payable to confirm enrolment, this will ensure we are able to run the first week of activities. This will be deducted from your final invoice.
OSCAR Subsidy:If you are applying for an OSCAR subsidy, it is your responsibility to apply for this well in advance of the programme so as to ensure your fees are paid on time. If the subsidy is delayed, you will be invoiced for your fees and reimbursed once we receive payment from WINZ. Please come and discuss any issues you may have with regard to payments

Kids on f.o.o.t will be learning about HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – a not-for-profit organisation that works in partnership with people of goodwill and families in housing need, to eliminate sub-standard housing by building, renovating and selling simple, decent houses on an affordable basis.
In the first week Habitat for Humanity volunteers will come to talk to the kids about the work they've done. In the second week, we will visit the building site in Porirua and bake some afternoon tea for the volunteers, which will include a team from America.
We’ll be seeking ways we can raise money for the next two houses that will be built in the Wellington region. ** WE WILL BE DOING A COLLECTION FOR THE HABITAT EFFORT IN CHRISTCHURCH AND THE RECENT EARTHQUAKE THAT HIT** We are hoping our community and local businesses will support us too. The children are too young to work on the building site, but Kids on f.o.o.t staff will be volunteering to help build, paint, clean – whatever is needed.
The kids will be looking at different houses around the world, and talking about what a home is and what our homes mean to us. The children will have a go at making a few housing models through various crafts, as well as designing their dream house.
We will be encouraging our kids to dream BIG – and not be afraid of aspiring to great things – nor being afraid of the hard work that they will have to do to attain all that the dream of.
